Case Studies
Over the years Peace Marsh have many case studies from residential and commercial customers to choose from and share with you.
We have formed long standing relationships with our customers and we continue to add value to their energy generation and saving projects.
We pride ourselves on these relationships.
Here is a sample of a few of our commercial customers:
The Royal Bank of Scotland
Peace Marsh won a green innovative supplier award which catapulted us onto their preferred supplier list. We were engaged to provide energy savings to their heating and cooling systems, both in their Gogarburn Global HQ outside Edinburgh and a number of NatWest High Street branches.
Youth Hostel Association
This was a classic engagement for us, in which we provided advice on their 200+ hostels. From this assessment we provided detailed energy saving and renewable energy reports on a shortlist of nationwide hostels. This led to a number of projects, where we installed multiple solar PV arrays and biomass boilers. For these projects, we secured the funding, scoped work, project managed the installations and monitored savings.
One particularly challenging site was at Pen-Y-Pass, Snowdonia which is the highest road access point at Snowdonia. A tough project to fulfil in a tough environment, but delivered in budget and on time.
Westerlands Farm
Westerlands Farm has over 200 acres nestled in the South Downs National Park and has been an extremely successful horse stud for many years. They have recently expanded into a retreat including team building days, camping, horse riding and accommodation both under canvas and luxurious lodges. Being off gas grid they were dependent on multiple old inefficient oil boilers which we replaced with two district biomass heating systems which were designed and implemented by Peace Marsh. Much of the wood is sustainably sourced and dried from the estate and provides a fantastic reference point for their new pursuits and ventures.
St Raphaels Care Home
Design and build of a complete new sustainable biomass district heating system, including new plant room and district infrastructure to support a 60 bedroom care home. The exisiting plant room wasn't large enough to accomodate the biomass boiler and pellet store, and so an old gardeners workshop and garage in the grounds was rebuilt as a plant room and fuel store.
We were commissioned to scope, install and monitor air conditioning energy saving technology in the datacentre. This was quite involved, as the whole datacentre was cooled by 8 x VRV systems which all required individual monitoring. Power usage was recorded every 30 seconds for each of the units, this led to a huge amount of data that was collected. All the data collected by us was compiled in a bespoke programme in order to analyse and interegate the results.
Thames Water, Dept of Health, United Utilities & Siemens
We engaged with EMCOR Facilities Management including customers Thames Water, Dept of Health, United Utilities and Siemens. Projects included site energy surveys and the supply, installation and monitoring of energy saving devices for their buildings heating and cooling systems.
